A recently commissioned project to remove the painted surface of the tiled walls on Platforms 24 & 25 at Central Railway Station, Sydney. The works included the Platform signage, some of which had been painted over multiple times in various colours and all tiled walls which had been painted with a 2Pac Epoxy system. Peel Away 8 was specified as the preferred product and the results were spectacular, receiving praise from client and contractor.
The process was over a four week period on a night shift so as not to inconvenience station customers. There is no residue smell and the walls were additionally covered with corflute over the Peel Away Paper to ensure the integrity of the works during busy customer times. The works went without problem with the Peel Away being removed 24 hours after application and then scraping and pressure washing completed the works to the desired result.
